For parents and guardians. We explain juvenile court in plain words, in English or Spanish, and keep your child's future in view at every hearing.

Sealing a juvenile record

Your part, as a parent
Three things that help your child most
Come to every hearing
The court notices who shows up. We'll give you the date, the time and what to expect before each one.
Let us do the explaining
Please don't ask your child to go over the facts with anyone but us. We meet with them privately first.
Call us before the school does
Schools and probation officers will ask questions. Say you're working with a lawyer and call us first.
What parents want to know first
Could my child be tried as an adult?
Only in a narrow set of serious cases, and the law on this changes. If it is possible, we tell you at the start.
Can I be in the room?
Parents are usually at hearings. We prepare you both beforehand, so nothing is a surprise.
Will it stay on their record?
Juvenile records can often be sealed. We handle that after the case, as part of the same flat fee for the case.
Call about your child today
Tell us the age, the charge and the next hearing date if you have one. We'll tell you what happens next.
