Assault and fights
One bad night is not the whole story
Assault, battery, threats and charges that grew out of an argument or a fight. We put your account next to the evidence and see where they meet.
Charges we take
Misdemeanor assault and battery
Felony assault
Threats and disturbing the peace
Fights outside bars and at events
Self-defense cases

What changes the picture
Four things we look for in a fight case
Who was in danger
Force that matched a real threat can be self-defense. We gather the video, the witnesses and the injuries that show it.
What the video shows
Phones and doorbell cameras caught more than people remember. We ask for every angle.
The other person's account
Statements change between the first call to police and the hearing. We compare each version.
Injuries and records
A photo of a bruise and a medical record are different kinds of evidence, and the charge often depends on which one exists.
Questions after a fight
Can the other person drop the charges?
The prosecutor decides, not the person involved. Their wishes matter, but they don't end the case.
Do I need to stay away from them?
If a court ordered no contact, yes, exactly as written. Tell us about any message you get, and do not answer it.
Is self-defense a real defense?
Yes, when the force matched a real threat. It has to be shown with evidence, which is why we start collecting it on day one.
Tell us your side first
What happened, who was there, and what you've been told not to do. We'll start from your account.
